In this case, I’m considering purchasing not one, not two, but three homes on a 10-acre property outside of Dallas.   • Pumps and Drains: The property sits low; multiple pumps and area drains exist to redirect water
  • Electrical and Other Systems: While I’m not an electrician, the inspector flagged a few electrical quirks. The same goes for HVAC, roofing, and other systems

5. Why It’s Worth the Cost

Think of a home inspection as a form of insurance. Spending a few hundred dollars now can reveal hidden problems that might cost thousands to correct later. If the seller fixes them before closing, you save money. If not, you at least know the true state of the property and can budget or negotiate accordingly.
